
Traditional scumble glazes were used to recreate the oak graining which was a standard feature throughout the Railmotors. Working with steel graining combs, worn brushes, a wiping out stick and a few reference pieces of real quarter sawn oak I was able to mimic the look to my best ability.

The Railmotor had 1200 feet of hand lining around the panels. Reference for the signwriting was taken from old photos and sized using a scale ruler. |
The GWR crest changed through the years. The main reference I used was from a 1 inch picture of an original water transfere.
